Basketball Recap: Winston County Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Addison, Winston County was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Phillips Bears by a score of 62-50. The score was all tied up 21-21 at the break, but the Yellowjackets were the better team in the second half.

Winston County is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-14 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points per game. As for Phillips, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-15.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winston County has already played their next game (against Tharptown), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Phillips will challenge Berry at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
