After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Casey-Westfield, Danville was happy to have turned things around  on Saturday. They were the clear victors by  a  12-1 margin over the Richwoods Knights. Considering the Vikings' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
 Deana Linares made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out nine batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in two of her three plate appearances with one  run and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Paisley Bean and  Ava Foster did most of the damage at the plate:  Bean  went 2-for-3 with three  runs and one  double, while  Foster  went a perfect 3-for-3 with three  runs and one  RBI. That's the most  runs  Bean has posted since back in March.  Ka'Leah Bellik was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 Danville  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 14  hits. They are  a perfect 8-0 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
Danville moved to 10-11 with that  win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Richwoods, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record  this season.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Danville will host St. Joseph-Ogden  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Richwoods, they will welcome Midwest Central  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday.
