Branson Blalock Game Report: vs East Forsyth

Walnut Grove had to settle for second on Friday, but Branson Blalock sure wasn't going down easily. Blalock was dynamite, striking out seven batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Blalock and Walnut Grove will be playing in front of their home fans against Apalachee at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sadly, Blalock's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Warriors' six-game streak of wins at home. With the streak broken, Blalock and the Warriors surely have a bit of extra motivation heading into Wednesday's match.
