Basketball Recap: Heritage Christian Takes a Loss

Heritage Christian was the 63-62 winner over Kingdom Prep Lutheran when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Heritage Christian Patriots were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 64-63 to the Kingdom Prep Lutheran Wolfpack.

Defeat or not, Heritage Christian got some senior leadership from Eddie Riebe and Jordan Draeger. Riebe posted 17 points, while Draeger scored nine points in addition to six assists and five rebounds. The game was Riebe's fourth in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Nathan Karcher, who earned six points and seven boards.

Even though they lost, Heritage Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in March of 2024.

Heritage Christian's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Kingdom Prep Lutheran, their record is now 7-9.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing University School of Milwaukee the next time they take the court. Heritage Christian will head out to face University School of Milwaukee at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday, while Kingdom Prep Lutheran will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
