Volleyball Game Preview: Sierra Grande Panthers vs. Trinidad Miners + How To Watch

The Sierra Grande Panthers will take on the Trinidad Miners at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Trinidad took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Sierra Grande, who comes in off a win.

Sierra Grande hadn't beaten Kim/Branson on the road since September 18, 2015 but that history sure didn't bother them on Saturday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 3-0 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Panthers have posted against the Mustangs since September 7, 2018.

Sierra Grande never let Kim/Branson on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-7, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Trinidad was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Swallows Charter Academy.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-22, 12-25, 25-13.

Sierra Grande will have to contain Alicia Barron as she made an impact in Trinidad's last game. She had 25 digs.

Sierra Grande's victory bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Trinidad, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.

Sierra Grande was able to grind out a solid win over Trinidad when the teams last played back in August, winning 2-0. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Miners have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
