Recap: Southern Rams vs. Fort Hill Sentinels
After flying high against the Bishop Walsh Spartans last Wednesday, the Southern Rams came back down to earth. Southern took a 63-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fort Hill on Thursday. Southern has not had much luck with Fort Hill recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jared Haskiell, who scored 18 points. Haskiell is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Isaiah Keller was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.
Southern's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Fort Hill, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-4.
Southern will stay at home for another game and welcome Hancock at 6:00 p.m. on February 27th. Hancock is coming into the matchup with seven straight defeats on the road, meaning Southern will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. Fort Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
