Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Madonna walked away with it. They walked away with an 85-73 victory over the Trinity Christian Warriors on Tuesday. The Blue Dons' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

When it comes to explaining why Trinity Christian lost, don't look at Austin Porta. Despite the final result, he went 13-for-22 on his way to 34 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Hopkins, who shot 42% from the field en route to 14 points and eight rebounds.

With the win, Madonna broke their ten-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-16. As for Trinity Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.

Looking ahead, Madonna will square off against Clay-Battelle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Clay-Battelle will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Madonna surely won't give up without a fight. Trinity Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
