Game recap: Grayson High School Football Team tops Archer

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Grayson (Loganville, Ga.) received a huge boost from its defense against Archer (Lawrenceville, Ga.), as the unit scored 12 in defeating Archer (Lawrenceville, Ga.), 48-0.

The Rams were up 34-0 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown run by David McTier in the first quarter.

Grayson expanded its lead to 48 points entering the fourth quarter. GHS scored two times in the third, including once on a defensive touchdown.

With the win the Loganville school extended its winning streak to six games. The Rams defeated the Comets 41-0 last week.

McTier stood out for Grayson in the win. The senior quarterback ran for one touchdown.



Led by Robert Nkemdiche, GHS went into the matchup giving up only 8.9 points per game. The zero points that the Tigers ended with were well below their average of 27.1 coming into the game. Archer came in surrendering 15.3 points per game this season.

The Rams also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 34-7.

Grayson (8-1) goes up against Brookwood when it takes the field next week. The Broncos go into the week with a record of 6-2.
