Baseball Recap: Pisgah's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Pisgah barely beat Enka the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pisgah Bears put the hurt on the Enka Jets with a sharp 7-1 win on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 last Tuesday.

Owen Rigsby and Braden Surrett dominated on the mound. Rigsby tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits, while Surrett didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

The victory (which was Pisgah's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Enka, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pisgah will take on North Buncombe at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Buncombe will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Pisgah surely won't give up without a fight. As for Enka, they will square off against South Caldwell at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
