Softball Recap: Oconomowoc Comes Up Short

Oconomowoc dropped down to 6-8 on Thursday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Oak Creek Knights, falling 10-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-4 back in April.

Oconomowoc saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylie Christian, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

As for Oak Creek, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 15-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games.

On Oak Creek's side, Kennedy Christopher was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Abby Barth also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Coming up, Oconomowoc is taking a road trip to square off against Beaver Dam at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Oak Creek, they will host Arrowhead at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
