Baseball Recap: Memphis Central Extends Home Winning Streak to Nine

Memphis Central came out on top against Kingsbury on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run first inning. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Falcons. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won 14 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Patrick Ryan made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Ryan was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Malachai Adams was incredible, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and four RBI. Beiker Leon was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Memphis Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .615. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March.

Memphis Central pushed their record up to 19-5 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Kingsbury, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10-1 record this season.

Memphis Central will head out on the road to face off against Brighton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Kingsbury, they will be playing at home against Memphis East at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
