Volleyball Recap: Huntsville Beats Hazel Green for Their Third Straight Victory

Huntsville had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Hazel Green Trojans. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since September 4th.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Huntsville who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 17-25, 20-18.

Kennedy Moss paced Huntsville's offense, picking up 12 kills. Moss got some help from Kaetlyn McGriff and her 13 assists. McGriff also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lacey Hollis, racking up two apiece.

Huntsville's win bumped their record up to 22-5. As for Hazel Green, their loss dropped their record down to 18-4.

Huntsville has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Vestavia Hills on the 23rd. As for Hazel Green, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against New Hope on the 19th.
