That result was just more of the same for these two, as Greer Middle College also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Chesnee lost, one person who can't be blamed is Pearl Holloway. Despite the final result, she scored six points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. Holloway has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Liana Kreydich, who scored four points along with four steals.
Greer Middle College's win bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Chesnee, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-18 record this season.

As for Chesnee, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Greenville Tech Charter at 6:30 p.m. Greenville Tech Charter is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
