Basketball Recap: Atonement Academy Comes Up Short

Atonement Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost to Varsity Opponent on the road by a 34-18 margin. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-42 back in December of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Atonement Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore James Klimsak posted 11 points.

Atonement Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Atonement Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Town East Christian at 5:00 p.m. on January 28th. Varsity Opponent has already played their next game (against Stillwater Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
