Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cape Fear Christian Academy). They blew past the Lee Christian Falcons 21-1 on Thursday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Eagles with their most commanding win of the season.

Taylor Smith made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cooper Davis, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Conner Parrish, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI and two runs.

Cape Fear Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .793. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Cape Fear Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 10-7.
