Football Recap: Memphis Business Academy's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Two

Memphis Business Academy won the last time they faced Trezevant and Kobe Simmons did his part to make sure it happened again. The Execs really took it to the Bears for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-20 victory thanks in part to Simmons, who rushed for 104 yards and a pair of scores on only seven carries, and also threw for 159 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 61 yards.

Lorenz Wright also helped out as he racked up 104 rushing yards. Memphis Business Academy is undefeated when Wright posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 3-4 otherwise.

Tyrese Johnson and Keelan Fisher certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Johnson rushed for 35 yards and a pair of TDs, while Fisher rushed for 88 yards and one touchdown.

The win made it two in a row for Memphis Business Academy and bumps their season record up to 6-4. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 20 points in those games. As for Trezevant, their record is now 4-6.

As of now, neither Memphis Business Academy nor the Bears have any future games scheduled.
