Baseball Recap: North Plainfield Comes Up Short

North Plainfield was the 6-5 winner over South Amboy when they last played one another on Wednesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Canucks fell 5-1 to the Governors on Friday.

Mark HernandeZ made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases and one run. Jake Z also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

North Plainfield's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for South Amboy, their record is now 5-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Plainfield will challenge Plainfield at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for South Amboy, they will take on Woodbridge at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
