Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Kallie Marsh and Zaria Moss Lead Arlington to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Forsyth, Arlington was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Southwind Jaguars as the Arlington Tigers made off with a 56-33 victory. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 23 points or more this season.

Leading Arlington to victory were Zaria Moss and Kallie Marsh. Moss posted 23 points in addition to seven boards and three steals, while Marsh almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds. Moss is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Jordan Wirt was another key player, putting up two points and eight rebounds.

Despite the loss, Southwind still got an impressive performance from Camille Sanders, who had 12 points along with six steals and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Karlisa Mungen, who scored seven points and five rebounds.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 6-8. As for Southwind, they dropped their record down to 6-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Arlington has already played their next contest, a 63-32 victory against Germantown on the 14th. As for Southwind, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cordova at 6:00 p.m. on January 17th.
