Soccer Recap: Putnam Science Academy Comes Up Short

There was early excitement for Putnam Science Academy after they claimed the first goal on Thursday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of the Hoosac Owls by a score of 2-1. Putnam Science Academy was not able to make up for their defeat to Hoosac from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

Putnam Science Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Hoosac, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Putnam Science Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on South Kent School at 2:00 p.m. on October 10. As for Hoosac, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Varsity Opponent on the 19th.
