Recap: Whiteville Wolfpack vs. East Duplin Panthers

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Whiteville Wolfpack had no problem doing just that on Friday. Everything went their way against East Duplin as Whiteville made off with a 28-7 win. Whiteville might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won ten matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Among those leading the charge was Nallegem Powell, who rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries.

The win (which was Whiteville's sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.7 points per game. As for East Duplin, their loss dropped their record down to 10-2.

Whiteville will head out on the road to face off against SouthWest Edgecombe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. SouthWest Edgecombe knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matchups -- so hopefully Whiteville likes a good challenge. East Duplin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
