Soccer Game Preview: Leigh vs. Pioneer

The Leigh Longhorns are taking a road trip to square off against the Pioneer Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both have allowed few goals on average, (Leigh: 0.5, Pioneer: 0.3) so any goals scored will be well earned.

Pioneer will be up against a hot Leigh squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Leigh blew past Gilroy 3-0 on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Longhorns, who have now won nine contests by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Gilroy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kaya Schaefer, Shani Outlaw, and Tori Anderson.

Meanwhile, Pioneer and Piedmont Hills finished up their match with a 1-1 draw on Thursday.

Leigh's victory bumped their record up to 11-0-2. With that draw, Pioneer's record moves to 10-2-3.
