Softball Preview: Wheeler Bearcats vs. Hebron Hawks
The Wheeler Bearcats will challenge the Hebron Hawks at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Wheeler is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest loss since May 25, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Boone Grove by a score of 6-4. The Bearcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Hebron had no trouble coming through when it counted. They never let Lake Station Edison get on the board and left with a 13-0 win on Monday. Considering the Hawks have won six games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high.
