Volleyball Recap: Cheyenne Mountain Triumphs

Cheyenne Mountain won the last time they faced Longmont and things went their way on Friday too. The Red-Tailed Hawks walked away with a 3-1 win over the Trojans.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 18-25, 25-19, 25-18.

Brynn Ressler had an outrageously good game as she had 20 digs and three aces. That's the most digs she has posted since October 4th. Another player making a difference was Sophia Evans, who had four digs and three aces.

Despite the defeat, Longmont saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Abril Perez had 11 digs and two aces.

Cheyenne Mountain's record is now 12-8. As for Longmont, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Cheyenne Mountain wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Denver South on the 31st. As for Longmont, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Coronado on the 31st.
