Basketball Recap: Wayne Takes a Loss

The Wayne Bulldogs were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 59-54 to the Ryan Cowboys.

Wayne's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Ryan, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Wayne will square off against Springer at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Ryan, they will face off against Turner at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cowboys will be up against the Falcons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 65.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
