Soccer Recap: Newberry Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Newberry can now relate to. They fell just short of the Trinity Catholic Celtics by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Celtics earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Newberry's goal came courtesy of Keegan Lowry, who's now up to 17 this season.

Newberry's defeat dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Trinity Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Newberry does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Trinity Catholic, they will venture away from home to square off against Maclay at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Trinity Catholic is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.2 goals per game this season.
