After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Buckeye Valley, Columbus Academy was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They blew past the Grandview Heights Bobcats 3-0. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-9, 25-18.

Morgan Spalding paced Columbus Academy's offense, picking up 12 kills. Spalding got some help from Sammie Wurtzman and her 23 assists. Wurtzman was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Despite the defeat, Grandview Heights saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Callie Rutter had 11 digs and one assist.

Columbus Academy's win bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Grandview Heights, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
