Volleyball Recap: Western Wayne Wildcats vs. Crestwood Comets
Western Wayne kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 3-0 to the Crestwood Comets. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Comets: they've now lost four in a row.
The final score came out to 25-20, 25-19, 25-12.
Lauren Beamer paced Western Wayne's offense, picking up seven kills. Beamer got some help from Abbie Washine and her 12 assists. Beamer was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
Western Wayne will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Tunkhannock at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Crestwood, they will head out on the road to square off against Susquehanna at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
