Volleyball Recap: San Luis Obispo Classical Academy Comes Up Short

San Luis Obispo Classical Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Orcutt Academy Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Thursday.

San Luis Obispo Classical Academy was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring zero points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

Orcutt Academy was led to victory by Nicolus Escobido and Miles Frantz. Escobido had eight digs and three aces, while Frantz had eight digs and seven aces. Frantz has been hot for a while, having also posted 18 or more assists the last 11 times he's played.

San Luis Obispo Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Orcutt Academy, their win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-1.

Coming up, San Luis Obispo Classical Academy will welcome Cabrillo at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Orcutt Academy, they will face off against Santa Ynez at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
