Georgetown Day is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They never let Georgetown Visitation Prep get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, Sidwell Friends faced St. John's in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Quakers blew past the Cadets 3-0. Sidwell Friends might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by three goals or more this season.

Zuri Johnson and Maggie Kendall scored all three of Sidwell Friends' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 26 goals.

Georgetown Day is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That somehow still isn't as good as their 14-3-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five contests. As for Sidwell Friends, their win bumped their record up to 12-4-1.
