Basketball Recap: Catholic Beats Nansemond River for Their Eighth Straight Win

Catholic had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.1 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Saturday. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 62-57 W against the Nansemond River Warriors.

Catholic was led to victory by Ashton Walker and Kelvin Anderson. Walker went 7 for 14 to rack up 20 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals, while Anderson almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine boards. Walker's evening made it 12 games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Jonathan Lee was another key player, putting up six points and five boards.
