Harlan has won eight straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Sotomayor has won eight straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Hawks will host the WILDCATS at 7:00 p.m. Harlan knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Sotomayor likes a good challenge.
On Friday, Harlan humbled Warren with a 49-7 victory. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won six matchups by 38 points or more so far this season.

Aldric Trotter
| 10/31/25 @ Warren | 6 |
| 10/04/25 @ Marshall | 5 |
| 08/30/25 vs East Central | 5 |
| 10/10/25 vs Holmes | 2 |
| 09/26/25 vs O'Connor | 2 |
Aldric Trotter was his usual excellent self, throwing for 243 yards and six TDs while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushing for 32 yards and one score. Those six passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. A healthy portion of Trotter's aerial production (138 yards to be exact) went to Xavier Smith.
Meanwhile, Sotomayor didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Warren last Saturday, but they still walked away with a 40-35 victory.
Harlan better keep an eye on Chauncey Moon. He was instrumental in Sotomayor's win, rushing for 142 yards and one touchdown while picking up 8.9 yards per carry, and also throwing for 77 yards and one TD. Haewood Anderson was another key player, rushing for 124 yards and one score.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Sotomayor was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 268 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 268 rushing yards in six consecutive games.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Sotomayor, racking up 16 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Alijah McAdory, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Harlan's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Sotomayor, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
Thursday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Harlan has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 211.3 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Sotomayor struggles in that department as they've been averaging 288.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Thursday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Harlan came out on top in a nail-biter against Sotomayor in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, sneaking past 35-33. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the WILDCATS have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
