Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Rootstown couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost to the Columbus Grove Bulldogs at home by a 65-46 margin on Saturday. The Rovers' defeat signaled the end of their 17-game winning streak.

Several Rovers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Elliot Smallfield, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Addy Germann, who scored nine points.

Rootstown's loss dropped their record down to 27-2. As for Columbus Grove, they pushed their record up to 27-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.

As of now, neither Rootstown nor Columbus Grove have any future games scheduled.
