Recap: Logan Wildcats vs. Hoover Huskies
The Logan Wildcats''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Hoover, falling 70-20. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Logan in their matchups with Hoover: they've now lost four in a row.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Adam Baisden II, who threw for 265 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt. Julius Clancy was another key contributor, picking up 139 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Logan's defeat was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), which bumped their record down to 1-9. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 9-1 Scott and 8-2 Clay County (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 69.2% over those games). As for Hoover, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.
Logan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hoover will head out on the road to face off against East Fairmont at 4:00 p.m. on November 11th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in West Virginia (East Fairmont is ranked 38th, while Hoover is ranked 22nd).
