Softball Recap: Manheim Township Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northern Lebanon, Manheim Township was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with an 8-5 win over the Manheim Central Barons. The Blue Streaks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Barons, too.

Natalie Brownell was excellent, going 1-for-2 with four RBI and one double. Those RBI were her first of the season.

The victory got Manheim Township back to even at 3-3. As for Manheim Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manheim Township will take on Hempfield at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Manheim Central, they will face off against Solanco at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Manheim Central's pitchers better be ready for this one: Solanco has averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season.
