After flying high against Washington on Friday, West Monroe came back down to earth. The West Monroe Rebels took a 79-65 bruising from the Central Wildcats on Saturday. The Rebels' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

West Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Central, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.

West Monroe will face off against Bossier at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Central, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. Paul's at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
