Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East). Their defense stepped up to hand the South Titans an 8-0 shutout on Tuesday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering East's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas soccer rankings (they are ranked 15th, while South are ranked 82nd).

East has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four contests. As for South, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6-1.
