Volleyball Recap: Charleroi Takes a Loss

Charleroi was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Washington Prexies. Cougars fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Prexies since Thursday.

Charleroi was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-11, 25-22.

Their offense was headlined by Eden Smith and Naomi Snyder, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Ryleigh Taylor and her eight assists. Ariahna Blouse controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Charleroi's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Washington, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

As of now, neither Charleroi nor the Prexies have any future games scheduled.
