Volleyball Recap: Severance Silver Knights vs. Berthoud Spartans
After flying high against Wellington last Tuesday, Severance came back down to earth. The Severance Silver Knights took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Berthoud Spartans on Wednesday. The Silver Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October.
Severance was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Berthoud work for it, especially in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 24-26, 25-19, 27-25.
Peightan Swanson paced Severance's offense, picking up 13 kills. Swanson got some help from
Brooke Zink and her 30 assists.
Isis Pribble controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Severance's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Berthoud, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-10.
As of now, neither Severance nor Berthoud have any future games scheduled.
