Baseball Recap: Hamilton Comes Up Short

Hamilton lost to Venice back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Yankees came up short against the Gondoliers, falling 20-8.

Isaiah Fragoso was cooking despite his team's loss, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3. Those home runs were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Sergio Gonzalez, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Hamilton has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Venice, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season.

While Hamilton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
