Basketball Recap: Seven Straight Home Victories for Sanford

There's no place like home for Sanford, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took down the Del Norte Tigers 51-37 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won five in a row.

Despite the loss, Del Norte still got an impressive performance from Lashawn Trujillo, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds. Del Norte is 6-3 when Trujillo posts eight or more boards, but 3-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Tytus Atencio, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 13 points.

Sanford pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Del Norte, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-10.
