Southeast Polk is 8-2 against Ankeny since January of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Southeast Polk Rams will head out to challenge the Ankeny Hawks at 6:15 p.m. Southeast Polk is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Southeast Polk came up short against Northwest and fell 53-42. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 61st, while the Wolves are ranked sixth).

Meanwhile, Ankeny posted their biggest win since November 26, 2024 on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 54-33 margin over Dallas Center-Grimes.

Ankeny's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-8. As for Southeast Polk, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

Southeast Polk didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Ankeny when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 61-55 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Southeast Polk since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
