The Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions will challenge the Magnificat Blue Streaks at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.
It was a proper cat-fight when Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin duked it out with Lake Catholic on Tuesday. The Lions never let the Cougars get on the board and left with a 14-0 win. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven runs or more this season.

Annaliese Racic looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Maya Rowan, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Simon, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lake Catholic only posted a batting average of .158.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, Magnificat was a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They lost 11-1 to Berea-Midpark.
Magnificat saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Haley Wheeler, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-5. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Magnificat, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.
Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .360. However, it's not like Magnificat struggles in that department as they've averaged .352. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
