Basketball Recap: Eau Claire Comes Up Short

Eau Claire was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 70-65 heartbreaker at the hands of the Columbia Capitals. The Shamrocks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Capitals earlier this season, when they won 59-54.

Despite the loss, Eau Claire still got an impressive performance from Manny Davis, who posted 17 points and five boards. With that strong performance, Davis is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. Gregory Williams was another key player, putting up six points along with five assists and five steals.

Eau Claire's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Columbia, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-17.
