Wylie East has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.18 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They fell just short of the Rowlett Eagles by a score of 10-8. The Raiders' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Kimma Kincaid was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, she pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave her a new career-low. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.

In other batting news, Jayleigh Dressler and Kyra Tawney stepped up to the plate in a big way. Dressler went 1-for-2 with one home run and one stolen base, while Tawney went 2-for-4 with one home run and one double. Dressler has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played.

Wylie East's loss dropped their record down to 18-9-1. As for Rowlett, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-14-1 record this season.
