Softball Game Preview: King Wolves vs. Centennial Huskies

The King Wolves will challenge the Centennial Huskies at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Centennial took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on King, who comes in off a win.

King's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Santiago 17-0. Considering the Wolves have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Centennial fell victim to Corona and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 11-0 to the Panthers. That's two games in a row now that the Huskies have lost by exactly 11 runs.

King has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Centennial, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-12.

King got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2025 against Centennial by a conclusive 14-3 score. Will the Wolves repeat their success, or do the Huskies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
