Basketball Recap: Bennington Gets the Win

Bennington won the last time they faced Marion and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 43-33. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Despite the loss, Marion still got an impressive performance from Kate Wessel, who shot 50% from the field on her way to 13 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Wessel is becoming a predictor of the Warriors' success: when she posts at least three steals the team is 2-1 (and 3-4 when she doesn't).

Bennington's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Marion, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Bennington will take on rival Sterling on Friday. Meanwhile, Marion is set to face off against their familiar foe Inman at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
