Football Recap: Pleasant Valley Takes a Loss

Pleasant Valley fell victim to Exeter Township and their airtight defense on Friday. They were outmatched by the Eagles and fell 42-0. Having soared to a lofty 34 points in the game before, the Bears' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Leomar Brown was nothing short of spectacular for Exeter Township: he rushed for 139 yards and four touchdowns on only 11 carries. Brown's longest rush was for an impressive 51 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Jayden Ware was another key player, picking up 70 receiving yards and one score.

Pleasant Valley now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Exeter Township, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, Pleasant Valley is taking a road trip to face off against Parkland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Exeter Township, they will host Governor Mifflin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give the Eagles their first taste of in-conference action this season.
