Softball Recap: Valley Vikings vs. Weld Central Rebels        
        
		
             Valley and Weld Central met for a duel  on Thursday where Valley had to take the L. The Valley Vikings fell  13-10 to the Weld Central Rebels. Even if the Vikings couldn't come away with the  win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.
  RyAnn Litfin was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Ava Kamphaus, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 Even though they lost, Valley  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with seven  strikeouts. That's the most  strikeouts they've posted since back in August.
 Valley has  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost six of their last eight matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record  this season. As for Weld Central, the  victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-13.
 Valley will look to defend their home field  on Tuesday against Brush  at 4:00  p.m. Valley is facing Brush at the right time seeing as Brush is stuck on  a  seven-game losing streak. As for Weld Central, they are taking a road trip to  take on Eaton  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Eaton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.4  runs per game  this season.
