Volleyball Recap: Cox Mill Takes a Loss

Cox Mill and A.L. Brown squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Cox Mill had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Wonders by a score of 3-2. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cox Mill wouldn't go down easily and took A.L. Brown into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking seven-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-15, 25-22, 21-25, 15-8.

Cox Mill's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for A.L. Brown, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Cox Mill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for A.L. Brown, they are taking a road trip to face off against Ardrey Kell at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Wonders surely won't give up without a fight.
