Catholic came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Jonesboro, but Tj Brown wouldn't allow it. The Hurricane enjoyed a cozy 31-14 win over the Rockets on Friday with plenty of help from Brown, who rushed for 186 yards and three scores. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 112.5 rushing yards per game.

Although Catholic took the loss, they still got scores from C.J. Obert and Phillips Blair.

The victory made it two in a row for Jonesboro and bumps their season record up to 3-3. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 2-4 Catholic and 2-3 Sheridan. As for Catholic, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-4.

Coming up, Jonesboro will venture away from home to take on Marion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Catholic, they will host Sheridan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rockets will be up against the Yellowjackets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
